Is Talent Innate or Developed?

Is talent innate? Or, is it something that's developed and nurtured over time? 

Was Michael Jordan's talent innate? Is Lionel Messi's? Bruce Springsteen? Or, in the business world, Steve Jobs? Bill Gates? Or anyone else you consider to be successful?

I think what we're really asking is, do I have the talent I need to succeed at what I do? Can I make it? Can I become one of them?

The more important question, of course, is does it even matter?

Why do we even ask ourselves the question?

I mean, what's the alternative?

To not do the work? To not take on our passions? To not deliver our own form of greatness?

It doesn't matter. We just need to do what we love.

Great work. Great art (in any field of life).

Leave the debate to others. It's irrelevant. 

When it comes to what you love, just do the work. 

You'll find your 'talent'.
