Episode 2. Retail in India with Raman Mangalorkar-Part 1

(This is a repost from March 20, 2017. Iā€™m consolidating my podcasts onto this page of my site, so reposting the older episodes here for easy access.)

Welcome back to Episode 2 of the Omerisms podcast, where I discuss, explore and debate interesting business, career and personal development topics with interesting business leaders across industries and across the world.

This month's podcast continues the exploration of retail that I started last month, but with a specific focus on India.  My guest for this podcast is my old friend, Raman Mangalorkar, who understands Indian retail from a very unique vantage point - he has served the sector both as a management consultant and as a corporate practitioner.  In other words, Raman knows what he's talking about on this topic.

Similar to last month, I've split the podcast into two parts - you can hear Part 1 below and Part 2 will be released on Thursday. As always, should you have any questions or comments, please drop me a note on the Talk To Me page.

Enjoy the podcast!

This podcast episode explores the state of retail in India, including an overall look at the evolution of the industry, its current state, competitive framework, considerations from a consumer, regulatory and supply chain perspective, and implications for those interested in participating in the space.
