Episode 4. From Consulting to Corporate to Private Equity: An Interview with Brian Slobodow Part 1

(This is a repost from May 22, 2017. Iā€™m consolidating my podcasts onto this page of my site, so reposting the older episodes here for easy access.)

Welcome to Episode 4 of the Omerisms podcast, where I interview interesting people and discuss, explore and debate interesting business, career and personal development topics.

This month's podcast features my interview with Brian Slobodow, whom I have known for 22 years and worked with in various capacities. Brian is currently an Operating Partner with the renowned Private Equity firm, Golden Gate Capital.

He has had an interesting career that has spanned Management Consulting to Corporate America to Private Equity and this is why I asked him to be on the podcast. It's a fascinating career trajectory across three reasonably different operating environments and I thought he could provide some valuable insights to those looking to play in any one (or more) of those three spaces.

Part 1 today covers his consulting career and we dive into his corporate and private equity experiences in Part 2, which comes out on Thursday.

As always, I'd love to get your feedback, questions or comments, so feel free to drop me a note on the Talk To Me page.

Enjoy the podcast!
